Mineral-based gear oil (replaces Geartex EPC 80W-90). Designed for transmissions, steering systems and drive hypoid axles requiring API GL-5 standard transmission fluids. It reliably protects against wear. It has high fluidity at low temperatures. Shear resistant.

Geartex EP-5 transmission oil is designed for use in automotive hypoid axles, steering systems, non-synchronized gearboxes and drive axles in a transmission unit that require a fluid with API GL-5 properties. The frictional characteristics of Geartex EP-C oil make it unsuitable for use in synchromesh-equipped manual transmissions and transmission drives, and the oil should not be used in such systems unless specifically specified for use with GL-5 fluid.
